The funeral was held after the midday prayer at a mosque. I purposely arrive right after the prayer so that I don't have to prostrate to the Cube. After knowing the REAL history of the Cube, I avoid the ordeal as much as I can. Except in Ramadan out of respect for BJ and RR.
I however joined the Prayer of the Dead because it was traditionally done standing.
I have much respect for the dead. When my father in-law died, I woke up the whole night looking after the body while reciting Yasin, the Heart of Al Quran. The next day I bathe him and then I lowered him inside the grave. My way of saying goodbye to him. I was fond of my father in-law. More than I care for my own father. I was 25 then.
Normally, at funerals I will normally helped to shovel the dirt as part of my respect to the dead. This one was no different.
As they were about to recite the Talkin, a form of ritual to remind the attendees about the journey beyond, I asked Izrael if she is going to Xanadu.
Izrael answered flatly, "Nope."
It is confirmed then ALL Stone Worshipers go to Wolfsschanze (which is not bad really). Straight away I break away from the crowd and went looking for a shelter from the intense heat.
At the graveyard office and gazebo, they served iced cordial syrup and some bottled water. I stayed under the shelter for the rest of the occasion.
This is the view from the shade:
