I managed to take a nap after lunch. Then when I was mentally preparing for an afternoon walk it rained.
Somebody lightly scraped the car I borrowed from Ah Ho my mechanic. The washing machine broke since yesterday. So much for everything going smoothly.
While I have no control over external events, my mind remained calm. All I got to do is look at Sailbad the Sinner and all of a sudden I feel a wave of serenity sweeping in.
It is the feeling of knowing I did something right.
Feng Shui is not a science although the Chinese treat it as such. When I bought the ship, before packing, it was placed in a brass bowl. Then the salesperson hit the bowl with a wooden scepter to create a pretty audible sound, three times if I am not mistaken. The whole store echoed with the ringing sound. I was a bit self-conscious hoping it would not attract the attention of passersby.
Then after she had "energized" it, I had to pick it from the brass bowl so that my energy transmutes to the ship. Not very scientific I suppose. However the feeling that I get was awesome.
I felt like I am part of a mystic ritual that works for centuries. Not because it is a fact but because it shaped the mind through the use of metaphor. Metaphorically, I had set sail to a new beginning. The ship also represents the new car I am getting.
There are so many things we don't know about how the mind works. And yet traditions are still well and alive in our cultures. Look at Santa Claus... He brings so much joy although he is a myth.
What about this ship then? It is nothing more than a folklore. Yet, it brings so much joy to me and Sparta 4964.
Well, you may say even Al Araf 7:7 is another myth. So is Sparta 4964. However as far as my mind is concern, they are real. Furthermore they are my source of joy like Santa Claus during Christmas.
I don't really know whether you take me seriously or you just having fun. But even [] all these are funny, at least I had provided some entertainment value to you, right baby?
Brb...
